Liberalism: Why think when you can “feel”?

Obama not a very good lawyer / law scholar

Damning stuff from Director Blue.  Read the whole thing, but the excerpt should whet your appetite:

I spent some time with the highest tenured faculty member at Chicago Law a few months back, and he did not have many nice things to say about “Barry.” Obama applied for a position as an adjunct and wasn’t even considered. A few weeks later the law school got a phone call from the Board of Trustees telling them to find him an office, put him on the payroll, and give him a class to teach. The Board told him he didn’t have to be a member of the faculty, but they needed to give him a temporary position. He was never a professor and was hardly an adjunct.

The other professors hated him because he was lazy, unqualified, never attended any of the faculty meetings, and it was clear that the position was nothing more than a political stepping stool. According to my professor friend, he had the lowest intellectual capacity in the building. He also doubted whether he was legitimately an editor on the Harvard Law Review, because if he was, he would be the first and only editor of an Ivy League law review to never be published while in school (publication is or was a requirement).

We all knew he was profoundly ignorant when it came to the Constitution, but even this is remarkable.  More (from the comments):

“… there was a conservative at the U of Chicago that writes in Forbes…”.

Dr John Lott. When he first met Obama he introduced himself. Obama just said “Oh, yeh. The gun guy. I don’t believe people should have guns”.

John offered to discuss the issue over lunch (maybe he should have offered a beer summit? – Ed.). Obama just made a face and turned away.

Lott says he never met any other academic so uninterested in hearing different points of view.

But hey, just take his word for it when he says “I’m not an ideologue”, m’kay?

  2. Is it just me or has his rise to the presidency been paved for. Come on his parents or grandparents were not wealthy, but he attends one of the most presgious private schools in Hawaii. Gets okay grades, goes to Oxidental University for a year, gets poor grades, transfers to Columbia University, and gets okay grades. Then he goes to Harvard Law, gets okay grades, and becomes head of the Law Review. This was not due to talent or smarts. He is a man who owes his rise completely to the assistance of others, it is now clear he has never had to do for himself. Maybe that’s why he can’t understand why those of us who have had to struggle for what we have want to keep it.

  3. Uh-Obama and his Democratic Congress could receive more credibility over Obamcare IF all politicians and all people received the same care. No Cornhusker deals nor Union exemptions or Louisiana Purchases but the same coverage for everybody.
But nooooooooooo. Let them eat cake!
