Liberalism: Why think when you can “feel”?

Moonbat NH Dem Congressman, seeking Senate seat, slams GOP for holding up jobless benefits bill…then skips out on vote himself

From the Concord Monitor:

After repeatedly prodding his Republican opponents in the U.S. Senate race to support extending unemployment benefits, Democratic U.S. Rep. Paul Hodes last week missed the vote.

A spokesman for the Hodes campaign said an unspecified “scheduling issue” prevented the congressman from voting July 22 when the U.S. House approved restoring jobless pay for millions of Americans who had been out of work six months or more. Spokesman Matt House said Hodes remains a strong supporter of extended benefits.

Hodes was scheduled to appear in Las Vegas the next day at the liberal bloggers convention Netroots Nation, and by Saturday afternoon he had told a Huffington Post reporter at the conference that Republicans who opposed the extension were “extremist, obstructionist, lying hypocrites who think you don’t have to pay for tax cuts for the wealthiest but are holding up help for the neediest.”

If we use Hodes’ logic (and in his case, I do use that word loosely), he cares more about schmoozing with Moonbat Nation in Vegas than he cares about the unemployed.

  1. “he cares more about schmoozing with Moonbat Nation in Vegas than he cares about the unemployed.”

Yes, he does. Like many Liberal politicians It’s not about right or wrong but divisive messaging and political power.

Hodes said, “Republicans who opposed the extension were “extremist, obstructionist, lying hypocrites who think you don’t have to pay for tax cuts for the wealthiest but are holding up help for the neediest.”

I still can’t understand why the Republicans allow the Democrats and their Liberal and Socialist partners to continue with this lie. The supposed “Bush Tax Cuts” (only named that because putting Bush’s name on it taints it with his unpopularity)were for all Americans, even those who don’t pay taxes (the neediest). Let me repeat if the Supposed “Bush Tax Cuts” were so horrible and only benefitted the wealthy, why did those who do not pay taxes (the neediest) get a cut as well.
Then there is the myth of the Republicans not paying for them. Lets flash back to 2000 and the Federal Tax Surpluses that was collected. Bush and the Republicans rightfully said, the money was not the governments but the peoples, and it should be returned to the people. Why do the Republicans have to pay for something that was not theirs to begin with. It’s returning it because it was not used or needed.

I’m just pissed because as always they allow the Democrats to control the message.

    Here endth my rant.

The Democrats don’t control the message, the main stream media controls the message!

(That was written as though there was a difference between the MSM and the Dems.)
