Liberalism: Why think when you can “feel”?

Quote of the day, “Another Democrat craps on the Constitution” edition

When it’s not Phil Hare (D-IL) telling us that he doesn’t care what the Constitution says, it’s this jackwagon:

“We have a lousy Supreme Court decision that has opened the floodgates, and so we have to deal within the realm of constitutionality. And a lot of the campaign finance bills that we have passed have been declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court. I think the Constitution is wrong. I don’t think that money is the same thing as human beings,” Rep. Jim McGovern (D-MA) said at a debate Wednesday. He was commenting on the Citizens United v. FEC decision.

Notice that the ones who are openly contemptuous of the Constitution are all Democrats?  They take an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution, right before they begin to summarily ignore it.  Why, it’s almost as if a Democrat’s word doesn’t mean anything!  For those of you on the left, the prior sentence was sarcasm.

  1. Our founding fathers were geniuses. If you don’t like the constitution they wrote, you may avail yourself of the amendment process to change it. It’s worked 27 times…try it out Dems…Good Luck.

  2. Steve…don’t be silly. Clearly they have, by now, proven that they haven’t the SLIGHTEST interest in pursuing any path along constitutional liens!

  3. The Libs tried it once with the ERA and lost bad. Since then, they’ve given up on the constitutional rout. Their only rout is through the Courts granting rights that don’t exsist or removing rights that do. I suggest though, they try it again, since like the MSM says, their ideas are so mainstream. If it’s true, it should be a cake walk to get 2/3 of the states to ratify their agenda.

  4. Indeed. The only way they “uphold” the constitution is to hold it up…to an open flame.
That pesky little blurb from the 18th century is such a hindrance…I know…the founders of the constitution were SCARED and IGNORANT…right Mr President?
