Liberalism: Why think when you can “feel”?

Michelle Obama: Salad bars for thee, but not for me

Glad to see the First Nanny taking such an initiative:

The discussion about what constitutes “healthy food” in the United States is always up for debate. According to the USDA, french fries are a “healthy” food. So Mrs. Obama has a heavy road to tread with attempting to place 5000 salad bars in public schools across the United States.

When reached for comment, Shelly O couldn’t be understood, on account of her mouth being full:

  1. The hypocrisy of the first couple is amusing. I seriously wish they would go on vacation more often instead of telling the rest of us how to live.

  2. Come on…Fast food every once in a while is okay, but many in the inner cities are eating junk every day at home and twice in school. Making school lunches more health is a good cause. Encouaging exercise is a good cause. Calling Obama out on this is unnecessary. There is so much more that is more hypocritical than this with the first couple. Lets not devolve into Obama Derangement Syndrome.

  3. To late, I hit ODS in early 2008. I am not alone!!

  4. It’s not ODS to call him out on his hypocrisy. He and his Nanny State wife are using the power of government not to suggest or encourage, but to MANDATE changes that they themselves are unwilling to make.

  5. But you’re notg going after the President, but his wife on her pet issue. It’s like going after Barbra and Laura Bush for watching TV or Nancy Reagan for taking an asprin.

  6. Any time a leader adheres to the philosophy of “do as I say, not as I do”, he/she is begging for trouble. Set the example, don’t be a hypocrite.

I would have expected a stronger argument than “Barbra and Laura Bush for watching TV or Nancy Reagan for taking an asprin”.

  7. Michelle is not the president, nor has she been elected to any office. She is not a power hungry psudo advisor like Hillary. Michelle is taking on the traditional role of the first lady. Once again going after Michelle because you oppose her husbands policies is in poor taste and wins no arguments to people who are not suffering from ODS.

What’s next…Going after the Obama girls for drinking a Coke.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not an Obama appoligist. There is more than enough to go after with him without going after his wife.

  8. It’s like going after Barbra and Laura Bush for watching TV or Nancy Reagan for taking an asprin.

Except for that pesky little fact that Barbara and Laura weren’t forcing the rest of us to watch TV with them and Nancy wasn’t forcing us to take an aspirin.

She is not a power hungry psudo advisor like Hillary.

Don’t kid yourself Steve….Missy O is no shrinking violet.

What’s next…Going after the Obama girls for drinking a Coke.

If their mother is responsible for other kids not being allowed to drink Coke, then heck yeah….it’s fair game.

  9. Glad to see you chime in KG. I was beginning to wonder if Steve and I were even discussing the same subject.
