Liberalism: Why think when you can “feel”?

Rahm Emanuel kicked off of ballot in Chicago mayoral race; UPDATE: Or not.

The court said he actually has to be a resident of Chicago to be the mayor of Chicago.  What kind of crazy shinola is that?  😆

No word yet as to whether Ballerina Boy will be mailing a dead fish to the majority who ruled against his mayoral bid.

UPDATE (01/27/2011 – 10:00 PM EST): Dead fish mailout averted.  IL Supreme Court puts FOB back on the ballot.

  1. Never count “Deadfish” out, he has one foot back in the door, wanna bet he slithers all the rest of the way in?

  2. He is in allegiance with Barry O…he doesn’t need LAW on his side!

  3. I kinda have to agree with Rombo’s argument, he was working for the government and was renting his property in Chicago, he should still be considered a resident of Chicago. That’s also assuming he didn’t change his voting registration and drivers license. If he did that, it showes his intent not to return to the windy city. There are no records though showing change in residence that I’m aware of.

  4. Primary residence is qhere one lives, not pwns property. I know people who OWN property in FL but RESIDE in TN. Even if one retains their old DL after they move, it doesnt establish them as residents of the OLD address…just establishes that they are in violation of traffic laws requiring change of address (and just having any govt job isnt an exclusion – military personnell are excluded, but, at least in TN, presidemtial appointees are NOT amongst the excluded. Military personnel have no choice in moving; their under service obligatiom. Govt file clerks for example do not have the
exclusion just cuz they work for incle Sam

  5. FOB!! The Mayor of Chicago has historically been crooked, I believe he is the next in line.

  6. Kevin hit it exactly. Just because you are in Guv’mint service does NOT automatically allow you to retain residency if you move. Title 10 of the US code specifically exempts military members but I don’t recall anything about folks in Deadfish’s occupation.
