Liberalism: Why think when you can “feel”?

Cornyn recruits MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough to run for FL Senate against Bill Nelson

Sweet mother of mercy, please let this be a cruel joke.  Excerpt:

Republicans in Washington are trying to recruit Joe Scarborough to run against Sen. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.) next year.

Sen. John Cornyn (Texas), who heads the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), told The Hill on Thursday that he has talked to Scarborough a couple times about a Senate bid. And he indicated he’s still working on persuading the MSNBC host to run for the upper chamber.

Scarborough is a RINO, period.  Do you honestly think he would have a show in front of both of MSDNC’s viewers if he were a staunch conservative?

Cornyn recruited Charlie Crist in 2009 to run for Mel Martinez’ seat, and heartily endorsed him very early.  Crist ended up bolting the party and running as independent, getting crushed by Rubio.  Cornyn also strongly endorsed Arlen Sphincter Specter in his bid to keep his PA Senate seat, and like Crist, Specter left the GOP and became a Democrat.

Cornyn has a “reverse Midas touch”, in that everything he touches turns to crap.  He needs to stay the h3ll out of my state, and other states, too.  The less involved Cornyn is in our Senate race, the better the chances we have to boot Obama’s lap dog Bill Nelson.

  1. JEB should run for that seat.

  2. The freakin’ repubs don’t get it yet, apparently. “We the People” were serious in Nov 2010 when we voted as many conservatives into office as we could. This evidenced by Cornyn’s dumb move. Not to mention Boehner asking for only 61B in cuts. They should have asked for 500B and then stand back and listen to the “taxeaters” stand back and scream bloody murder.
Who should run for Nelson’s seat in Fl? I don’t really know, as I don’t live in “God’s waiting room” yet. Please find somebody very conservative to put into that seat before I move there. Selfish, I know, but I’m tired of the idiots in the Repub party acting like moderate demonrats everywhere.

  3. Guidry, we did well by picking Marco Rubio last year. Trouble is, I don’t know who would be a worthwhile successor to Nelson. Well, anyone other than Nelson, I suppose, but you get my drift.

  4. “Tax-eaters”…I totally LOVE that term!
I personally do NOT understand how ANY republicans have the nerve to peek their heads out of their snake holes if they are “moderates”. They should have enough smart people on their staff to warn them that being democrat-clones is self-destructive!!!
Like I said before, don’t give republicans too much credit because there are PLENTY of them out there (obviously) who are more than happy with putting the most absurd candidates on the ticket. Seriously, can anyone tell me why I shouldn’t think these guys are undercover democrats?

  5. Maybe we could ask the Tea Party to protest Cornyn?
