Liberalism: Why think when you can “feel”?

Quote of the day, “Obama the clerk” edition

Scathing takedown by Jay Cost:

Nobody in the United States is as intent on reminding his fellow citizens just how awesome he is than Barack Obama. That’s what the “Age of Obama” is all about. But that seems to be about it. The sense of awe he has cultivated has not been used for any great purpose — not to forge a bipartisan compromise on the stimulus, not to push through an intelliglble health care plan, not to handle the deficit, not to lead on any of the various foreign policy flareups. This is more a clerkship presidency, with a commander in chief either unwilling or unable to take the lead on the most challenging issues of the day.

Still voting “present”, even as chief executive.

  1. The description is totally apt. Obumer’s presidency will go down in the history books as nothing more than a “clerkship”. I love that way of looking at it. He has done nothing to improve the lives of the everyday citizens of this nation, and a lot to harm them. Now it is our job to clean up his mess, sorta like a little kid who makes messes and somebody else has to clean it up.
If this is the best and brightest of the left, they are in trouble come 2012.

  2. I disagree JG…the liberals write the history books, thus, it will go down as a SUPER-WICKED AWESOME presidency…though it will be a lie.

    But HEY…Obama SAYS STUFF…a whole bunch…he’s great!
