Liberalism: Why think when you can “feel”?

Reid crushed by senility and irony

Did I mention I hate Sarah Palin for getting her gal pal Sharron Angle nominated in NV?  Here’s the confused old coot who won re-election in a state that hates his stinking guts:

A befuddled Harry Reid (D., Nev.) threw a flash tantrum on the Senate floor just a while ago. He slammed the House Republicans’ latest effort to avoid a government shutdown — a one-week continuing resolution that cuts spending by $12 billion but also funds the Defense Department through September 30 to ensure that military personnel are paid even if the rest of the government shuts down  — calling it a “fantasy” that will never make it past the president’s desk, and accused the GOP of “procrastinating” and “trying to avoid making the tough choices.

Just to make sure I’m understanding this jackwagon correctly:

Last year, Reid and his party had a 77-seat House majority and a 19-seat Senate majority, plus the presidency.  They were able to browbeat a majority of their party into passing the hideously unpopular ObamaCare.  But they were unable to do the one thing that they were supposed to do: pass a d#mned budget.

Yet their inability to pass a budget with firm control of the entire legislature AND the presidency is…the new House’s fault?

Got it.  Thanks for the clarification.  Idiot.

Oh, and how’s about this laugher?

“It’s time for my friends in the House of Representatives to stop campaigning and start governing,” Reid continued.

Where was the prez during this exchange?  Um…campaigning.

Irony: breakfast of chumps.

  1. I sure hope he throws a few more tantrums. Maybe a big enough one to burst a blood vessel in his brain. Oh, wait, I forgot he doesn’t have a brain.
He is defenitely having Irony for breakfast, and lunch, and dinner. I’m begining to see the glimmer of the death knell of the demonrats. Keep going, Reid, you’ll make it happen.

  3. If that chicken for healthcare lady was nominated, y’all would have won NV easily.

  4. “Chicken for healthcare”…heh. 😆

For those of you who don’t get the reference, Sue Lowden (Republican Senate candidate in NV last year who lost to Sharron Angle in the primary) made a comment about how one can barter with his/her doctor…such as bringing a chicken instead of money. Story here. Yes, I just linked to CBS News, but despite that, the story does appear real and not forged. 😆

I can’t say I disagree with you in the slightest on that, Spinny. My heart sank when she made that gaffe, because I knew that was the end for her. But heck, Danny Tarkanian would have rolled over Reid, too.

But whatever. What’s done is done.

  5. Exactly. Can’t win them all.

  6. Reid was on his way out in 1998 but the spoiler losertarian party with about one percent of the vote took a few thousand votes away from challenger John Ensign (R) and Reid was able to squeak out a 424 vote (statewide) win. Win by one vote and you win. Just think – we should have been rid of Reid thirteen years ago. The LP serves to win close elections for Democrats and little else.
