Liberalism: Why think when you can “feel”?

Quote of the day, “How Obama views private sector vs. public sector jobs” edition

Quoth Teh Won:

OBAMA: Let me just first of all say that workers like you, for the federal, state, and local governments, are so important for our vital services. And it frustrates me sometimes when people talk about ‘government jobs’ as if somehow those are worth less than private sector jobs. I think there is nothing more important than working on behalf of the American people.

FEDERAL WORKER: I thought I would be more important and secure.

OBAMA: I agree with you.

There you have it, straight from the jackass’ mouth: Government jobs are much more important than private sector jobs.  Never mind that it takes private sector jobs to fund public sector jobs.  Yeah, that doesn’t seem to resonate with the economic illiterate-in-chief.

  1. if this girl were to dig, she works, ultimately, under the smithsonian…which is freaking hiring!!! Intra-agency is quick/easy. Why would she even for a moment ask him about this…reading between the lines she is asking “who is going to take care of me?”

  3. Considering he has worked in the government sector for as long as he has…is this remotely shocking?

  4. I hate to disagree but private sector jobs used to fund public sector jobs untill shortly after January 2008. Now, in the age where government spending eliminates debt and unemployment benefits are key to job creation, public sector jobs are much more important and are necessary for the private sector to even exist. I’m sure you realize by now, Obama doesn’t need the private sector to fund government. Not when he can go to Bernanke and simply have more money printed.

  6. More inanity from the idiot-in-chief. No surprise. He has no idea how the economy works, no surprise there. It shows in his policies.
    Silly president.
