Liberalism: Why think when you can “feel”?

Obama’s shameful media spectacle at Dover

I think this blog post title at Ace’s joint sums it up best:

Families Of The Fallen: We Don’t Want Any Media Coverage Of Our Loved Ones Return To Dover.

White House To Families: We Don’t Care What You Want.

Read the post and you’ll see what it’s all about.  Drew’s conclusion is well put:

When it comes to honoring our heroes, I’d like to be able to give any President, Obama included, the benefit of the doubt that they care more about doing the right thing by the fallen and their families (even if I might disagree with their choices). Obama’s decision to allow this solemn and private moment to become a political spectacle shows he simply is doesn’t deserve that consideration.

January 20, 2013 can’t come soon enough.

Amen.

  1. It really fries me that this guy, who has nothing but disdain for our military, has absolutely no qualms about USING them as pawns in his re-election campaign. We’ve got the killing Bin Laden movie coming out just before the election which no doubt will cast the clown in chief as some sort of hero, we have an Obama as a Navy Seal doll, and now this despicable photograph. His excuse that they didn’t know the White House photographer would be there is pure unadulterated BS!!! God forgive me, but I REALLY loathe that opportunistic piece of doo!

  2. I agree. This manchild in the WH cares nothing for the lives of the American people, just his re-election in 2012(God forbid). The photo which was “leaked” is nothing more than ammunition for the political campaign.
January 20, 2013 may be too late for this country, the way the Ovomit is pushing his agenda via agency regs and executive orders.

  4. Obama has not stopped running for president for nearly 8 years. That’s all he knows how to do. God knows he doesn’t know how to govern or lead!

  5. Seriously? You hate the guy this much that you’re condemning him for showing respect to fallen SEALs and DEA agents?

  6. Alli,

To whom was your comment directed? If towards me, then to quote Samuel L. Jackson’s character in Pulp Fiction, “Allow me to retort”:

I don’t condemn him for showing respect to fallen SEALs. I condemn him for ignoring the wishes of the family members, who specifically asked that the prez keep this private and not get the media involved. But President Kick#ss wasn’t about to let a photo-op go to waste, simply because the peasants wanted a little privacy and dignity in their grief.

That’s my beef. Doubtful my mind will be changed on that.

And if your comment was not directed towards me, then I will channel Gilda Radner and say “Never mind!” Others here can obviously speak for themselves.

  7. I liked Bush’s stance…I can’t go to all so I will go to none so as to not make any loss seem more importatnt that any other loss.

  8. I second that retort Crush. It’s not about hating the guy…it’s about his unbridled hatred for our military and his “screw the little people” attitude.
