Liberalism: Why think when you can “feel”?

CNN weatherbreasts…er, meteorologist and reporter: Strong tornadoes yesterday due to global warming

I swear, just this morning, I asked a colleage how long it would be until some environut blamed those tornadoes on global “warming”!  Just this morning, I tell ya.  And I didn’t have to wait long before CNN delivered.

By the way, I’ve often noted how these rubes were looking stupid by calling it global “warming” whenever it got friggin’ cold, so they had to call it “climate change” so as to lessen the sting of their shame.  Apparently, the ladies here got the memo.

CAROL COSTELLO: Such a strange spring.STEELE: It really is. That’s kind of the climate change we are seeing. Extremes are ruling the roost and what we are seeing, more become the norm.

COSTELLO: It makes me afraid for what next spring will bring. It might be unnaturally cold.

STEELE: Because that’s not it–this global warming is really kind of a misnomer. Global climate change—so the colds are colder and warms are warmer, and the severes more severe.

  1. “…so the colds are colder and warms are warmer, and the severes more severe.” And Santa Claus is real and so is the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny and the grape Kool-Aid is my favorite!

  2. Amazing…so IS climate?!?! Must be NICE to be the ones with the power to determine precisely WHICH weather conditions constitute “climate”. (Notice how snow storms or record colds are never “climate”?? Weird huh?)
Webster defines weather as “the state of the atmosphere with respect to heat or cold, wetness or dryness, calm or storm, clearness or cloudiness”
Webster defines climate as “the average course or condition of the weather at a place usually over a period of YEARS [yes, folks, YEARS, not hours] as exhibited by temperature, wind velocity, and precipitation”
So, how exactly are the tornadoes in Texas CLIMATE?! (Remember, Global Warming is “climate change” according to these people…at least, when it’s a COLD winter, it is).

Yep, liberals love to just proclaim new meanings to old words (wonder what the new meaning of “jackass” is?)

  3. I grew up in Kansas in the 70’s & 80’s, and it was understood this time of year was tornado season. That’s why it’s called tornado alley. More tornados happen there than any place on earth due to the geographical nature of the mid west having mountains to the east and west and warm water in the south and article water in the north. Why are these meteorologists shocked at this weather? Historical records going back over 200 years showed this is not unusual in the mid west this time of year.

Listen, I believe in climate change, and it’s an argument for another day. However this argument by a brainwashed leftard shows the MSMs mindless towing of the Democratic Party line, truth or not.

  4. I think the democrats are looking at “Climate Change” as their new religion, and if we conservatives think differently then we’re blasphemous!

  5. On the issue of climate change, the difference between the Democratic Moonbat, the free thinking Democrat or Republican and the Republican Wingnut are the answers to these questions. Is there Climate Change? Is it man made? Can government stop it from happening? Lastly, does a government or NGO have the power to fix climate change.

A wingnut says no to all the questions and refuses to study the Historical Climate record.

A free thinking Republican says yes to the 1st question, and no to the 2nd, 3rd &4th. Man can’t even begin influencing the climate of our planet, but seeks free market solutions to deal with the effects of climate changing. (This is where I am on the issue)

A free thinking Democrat says yes to the 1st, 3rd & 4th questions. To them, man and government has the power to change the world and to stop nature only if the regulations effect the other guy.

A Moonbat says yes to all and wants us all living as cavemen.
