Liberalism: Why think when you can “feel”?

Quote of the day, “Obama’s hypocrisy on broken promises” edition

So Team B.O. wants to run on Romney’s supposed broken  promises, huh?  OK, fair enough.  But Jim Geraghty has an observation:

Ah, charges of unfulfilled promises from President Barack “If I don’t have this done in three years, then this is going to be a one-term proposition” Obama, the man who pledged who cut the deficit in half in his first term, the man who criticized Hillary Clinton’s proposal for a mandate requiring Americans to purchase health insurance, is going to hit his opponent on broken promises.

Four years ago this week, Obama said — with profound humility, he assured us — that future generations would look back and say, “this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick, and jobs for the jobless, this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow, and the earth began to heal . . .” and now he tells us to beware of politicians bearing grandiose promises.

Obama 2012: Stick with the broken promises you know.

Heh.

  1. Obama knows he can say whatever he wants and the press will continue to carry water for him. The press in this country has a LOT to answer for.

  3. Hypocrisy is not a word that the left recognizes as having any bearing on what they say or do. This is true only as long as the MSM continues to ignore the hypocrisy of this administration. Therefore, I agree with “thjack” re: TREASON. That charge must be leveled, not only at the MSM, but surely at the politicians who have foisted this debacle upon this nation by backing it and supporting it. I, personally, have been thinking that since close to the first day of this administrations actions.
    Another well done post, CL.
Liberalism is a serious mental disorder.

  4. And I agree with both KG and tri….HOWEVER, it doesn’t just pertain to Obama. It is our entire system and I have to side with George Carlin…

“I have solved this political dilemma in a very direct way: I don’t vote. On Election Day, I stay home. I firmly believe that if you vote, you have no right to complain. Now, some people like to twist that around. They say, ‘If you don’t vote, you have no right to complain,’ but where’s the logic in that? If you vote, and you elect dishonest, incompetent politicians, and they get into office and screw everything up, you are responsible for what they have done. You voted them in. You caused the problem. You have no right to complain. I, on the other hand, who did not vote — who did not even leave the house on Election Day — am in no way responsible for that these politicians have done and have every right to complain about the mess that you created.”

If people would quit voting and start demanding accountability of EVERY branch of Government (from the President to the Clerk in the Courthouse)just maybe we’d get somewhere.

It should be noted that this site doesn’t represent the occupy movement since it was discovered that the supposed “occupiers” will excuse Govt abuse in exchange for getting what “they” can. Sounds pretty familiar….you won’t find any of this information in the press.

  5. JPG is right, there are MANY in this administration that need to be tried for treason. Starting with Eric Holder.

  6. Don’t worry, don’t worry. The “MSM” will ensure that the masses never make the connection here. It’s what they DO, after all. Good thing they are not distracted or side-tracked by such petty endeavors as investigating and reporting the NEWS, huh?

  7. Reality is coming to light and his own supporters have been abandoning Captain Communism’s sinking ship.
