Barney Frank not seeking re-election, wants to spend more time with his cat
It’s possible I made up that last part. But I’m telling the truth about the first part:
Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) will not run for re-election for a 17th term. He’ll hold a press conference at 1 pm ET to discuss his decision.
Yeah, I suppose that a lifetime of wrecking our nation’s housing market and running a brothel with your boyfriend pimping ho’s out of your DC residence is enough to finally wear a guy down. At any rate, don’t look for this reliably blue distrcit to flip to the sensible side any time soon.

Blogging the midterms tonight (and into the morning)
Updates will be flowing throughout the evening. I’ll probably hit the hay around midnight or so, since those crazy people that sign my paychecks expect me to show up tomorrow and do stuff. Crazy b#st#rds! (For those of you on the left, google “paycheck” if the term confuses you.)
UPDATE 7:45 PM EST: Rand Paul wins KY Senate race over Jack Conway. Aqua Buddha hardest hit. Also, Rob Portman wins OH Senate seat vacated by RINO George Voinovich by beating Lee Fisher (D). Pickup news: Dan Coats beats liberal Brad Ellsworth for Evan Bayh’s vacated IN Senate seat. +1 GOP pickup.
UPDATE 8:00PM EST: The AP is calling the FL Senate race for Marco Rubio! Most elections, I vote against someone, but with Rubio, I enthusiastically voted for him. Two man-crushes now: Rubio and Chris Christie (I still like women, though!). Governor Citrus’ pathetic career comes to a bitter end, though I’m sure Willy Wonka will put him back to work in the chocolate factory. 😆
UPDATE 8:10 PM EST: The left had hoped to pick up Senate seats in NH and MO (in addition to OH, mentioned above), but it didn’t happen. Republicans Ayotte in NH and Blunt in MO hold serve. #sshat Alan Grayson is getting pounded early in FL, which means he’s probably got MSNBC on speed dial and has an itchy dialing finger.
Also, Palin’s gal Christine O’Donnell got creamed by the Bearded Marxist in DE (enjoy Mike Castle’s RINO scalp!). It didn’t have to be that way, people.
UPDATE 8:30 PM EST: Blanche Lincoln gets blasted by John Boozman. Hey, Blanche, how’d that ObamaCare vote work out for you? You’re welcome, Kevin. +2 GOP pickup.
UPDATE 8:32 PM EST: Other “Blue Dogs” have fallen. Suzanne Kosmas traded her vote on ObamaCare for some NASA pork, but she’s done. VA’s Tom Perriello won narrowly in a reddish district in ’08, but his Lap Dog votes on ObamaCare, cap and tax, and Porkulus cost him this seat. His fellow VA Dem Rick Boucher just lost, as did Glenn Nye.
UPDATE 8:35 PM EST: Congress’ biggest jack#ss Alan Grayson is about to concede to Daniel Webster. “Submit to me”, Grayson! 😆 Grayson blames Beelzebub the weather and gerrymandering (an R+2 district?) 😆
UPDATE 9:35 PM EST: Another FL Democrat falls: Allen Boyd in FL-2, in the Panhandle. Hard to be a “Blue Dog” when you’re adding ObamaCare’s trillions in debt, huh? Anywho, Barney Frank wins, and we have a Senate pickup in ND, as John Hoeven takes Byron Dorgan’s old seat. +3 GOP pickup.
UPDATE 10:20 PM EST: FL governor’s race still up in the air. Scott (R) up by 4% with about 75% of the votes in (and Democrat-heavy south FL isn’t finished), nowhere near ready to be called. NM will elect a Republican Latina governor. Also, the Senate is off the table, but the House is ours, baby! Chris Matthews’ leg hardest hit.
Olbermann has a hard time finding black people at Tea Party rallies, so perhaps he’ll have an easier time finding Tim Scott, the newly elected black Republican Congressman from SC-1. He’ll be in the Capitol, douche.
If retired Marine Allen West (no relation to Batman) beats Ron Klein in FL-22, that will be two black Republicans in the House. If Ryan Frazier comes from behind to win in CO-7, that would be three black Republicans. If those two men lose, can we ask why Democrats hate black people? 😉
UPDATE 10:40 PM EST: McCain’s buddy Russ Feingold (D-WI) falls to businessman Ron Johnson. +4 GOP pickup.
Also, SC elects Palin’s gal Nikki Haley as governor. Haley endured mudslinging, especially unfounded rumors of an affair (and if you saw the dude who accused her of sleeping with him, you’d know it was a lie, as the guy was uglier than Helen Thomas chasing a parked car…and catching it.)
Stupak mortgaged his career for ObamaCare, and his seat just went to Republican Dan Banishek.
UPDATE 11:00 PM EST: Remember this guy? Phil Hare (D-IL), who said he didn’t care about the Constitution and that the deficit was a “myth”? Yeah, well now his career his a myth, as he just fell.
Still waiting on FL governor. 83% in, Scott up by 3% with South FL coming in.
UPDATE 11:40 PM EST: AP calls it for Pat Toomey. +5 GOP pickup.
UPDATE 11:59 PM EST: FL governor’s race still not decided. 91% of the votes in, Scott up by 2%, not done yet.
AP calls IL Senate for Mark Kirk. Obama’s old seat, in Republican hands! +6 GOP pickup.
Allen West did defeat Ron Klein in FL-22. Predicted MSM headline: Two black Republicans going to Congress, blacks hardest hit.
Votes out west being counted, but Californiastan votes for that senile relic Jerry Brown for governor, as well as Senator Ma’am, thus proving that they have no interest in resolving their economic despair anytime soon. Don’t know any more, I’m off to bed.
UPDATE 09:39 AM EST: FL governor’s race still not decided. 99% of the precincts are in, with Republican Rick Scott clinging to a 1% 53,000 vote lead, and about 66 precincts in heavily Democrat Palm Beach County remaining. If Scott’s lead holds and stays above 27,000, he avoids the state-mandated automatic recount. However, since Sink is married to ambulance chaser Bill McBride (recipient of Jeb Bush’s buttkicking in 2002), I wouldn’t be shocked if her side sues in the event of a loss.
UPDATE 10:49 AM EST: The FL governor’s race appears to be over. Alex Sink just conceded to Republican Rick Scott. It was very close, but in the end, the votes just weren’t there. And while that inconvenience doesn’t always stop Dems from finding/creating more, I guess Sink concluded that Scott’s win was outside the margin of fraud.
Also, don’t look now, but the nepot from AK (Princess Murkowski) looks like she just might pull off her write-in bid to get back to DC. Absentee ballots and overseas ballots have to be counted, and they did swing the 2008 Senate election to Democrat Mark Begich, so anything’s possible, I guess. But it’s not looking good for Republican Joe Miller.

Barney Frank in danger of losing his seat?
In light of Barney dispatching his boy-toy to heckle his GOP opponent Sean Bielat, and in light of this…dare I to hope?
Longtime Massachusetts Rep. Barney Frank has given his re-election campaign $200,000 as he faces his toughest race in years.
A campaign finance report filed Tuesday showed that Frank, the chairman of the powerful House Financial Services committee, lent himself the money Tuesday…
A longtime public servant, Frank isn’t exactly a rich man. Financial disclosures filed with the House show he has assets between $560,000 and $1.5 million. He is not required to disclose the worth of his primary residence.
Frank’s district is heavily Democrat, otherwise there’s no way in Hell this reprobate would have been continually sent back to Congress, especially after his boyfriend ran a prostitution ring out of his DC home. That said, Scott Brown did win the D.C. Madam’s district back in January in the Senate special election. Fingers crossed!

Barney Frank’s opponent heckled by…Barney Frank’s boyfriend?
Hilarity (and humiliation) ensues:
Upon exiting the most recent debate with Barney Frank, located at WGBH studios in Boston, MA, Republican Congressional candidate, Sean Bielat, gets heckled by a Barney Frank “supporter” while talking to the media. While watching this video, we realized that we recognized this “supporter”. We received confirmation from two eyewitnesses that the mysterious cameraman was none other than Barney Frank’s pot-growing boyfriend, James Ready.

Barney Frank gets his panties in a bunch over being stiffed a buck
So much gold in the post’s title, no? You’re welcome. 😆
Massachusetts Congressman Barney Frank caused a scene when he demanded a $1 senior discount on his ferry fare to Fire Island’s popular gay haunt, The Pines, last Friday. Frank was turned down by ticket clerks at the dock in Sayville because he didn’t have the required Suffolk County Senior Citizens ID. A witness reports, “Frank made such a drama over the senior rate that I contemplated offering him the dollar to cool down the situation.”
The same flaming (no pun intended) leftist who wants us to pay more money to fund his socialist utopia gets bent out of shape at having to part with a lousy dollar of his own (and by “his own”, I mean “ours, since his paycheck is funded by the taxpayers”)? Cry me a river, Barney.
I guess I can see why BF would get in a tizzy at not being able to save a dollar. I mean, that’s one less buck he gets to spend stuffing in the g-string of Rex the Wonder Stud at a Fire Island Chippendales, right?

Quote of the day, “Frank admission” edition
Video clip here, in case you think I’m taking it out of context. Quote:
We trying on every front to increase the role of government in the regulatory area.
We all knew this, but at least the guy responsible for destroying the mortgage industry is being open about it. Now, can the incompetent GOP parlay this into electoral gains?

Thanks to tnJack for passing this on, from one of the recent “tea parties”. Slight editing on my part for vulgarity, but the reference to activity prohibited in Leviticus and Romans is still crystal clear.

Detroit wants a bailout, and Barney Frank agrees
The Big Three automakers flew in on their private jets yesterday to complain to Congress as to how broke they are. Predictably, they want a piece of the taxpayer-funded bailout pie. They have a friend in Barney Frank, who is ready to toss Detroit a $100 billion life preserver.
Yes indeed, when Barney Frank isn’t busy stockpiling cases of petroleum jelly, he likes to spend his time sodomizing (resisting cheap shot here, folks!) the taxpayers by subsidizing failure. And why shouldn’t we listen to him? I mean, he did just a bang-up job subsidizing high risk mortgages, didn’t he? Yet the left loves its losers, so they keep this buttclown in charge of matters of finance. Brilliant.
This is harsh, but it needs to be said: Detroit must be allowed to fail, all the way to the end. Ace has a great post about it, but here are some excerpts:
And any “bailout” (really a permanent taxpayer subsidy of far too high UAW wages) simply goes to keeping nonsense like this in place.
And don’t say their wages are “far too high” as some sort of judgment about the value of their work. I say they’re far too high based on the objective fact that they cannot produce a competitive product at those rates. And add in that non-union plants in the South and other areas of the country pay their workers $43.00 per hour in total benefits — a pretty decent wage for manufacturing work requiring little previous skill — while the UAW insists on $73.00 per hour.
You get almost double what other workers are willing to work for why, exactly? I can’t imagine any moral claim to such rates.
…
From a 2005 article:Ken Pool is making good money. On weekdays, he shows up at 7 a.m. at Ford Motor Co.’s Michigan Truck Plant in Wayne, signs in, and then starts working — on a crossword puzzle.
Pool hates the monotony, but the pay is good: more than $31 an hour, plus benefits.”We just go in and play crossword puzzles, watch videos that someone brings in or read the newspaper,” he says. “Otherwise, I’ve just sat.”Pool is one of more than 12,000 American autoworkers who, instead of installing windshields or bending sheet metal, spend their days counting the hours in a jobs bank set up by Detroit automakers and Delphi Corp. as part of an extraordinary job security agreement with the United Auto Workers union. The jobs bank programs were the price the industry paid in the 1980s to win UAW support for controversial efforts to boost productivity through increased automation and more flexible manufacturing. As part of its restructuring under bankruptcy, Delphi is actively pressing the union to give up the program.
With Wall Street wondering how automakers can afford to pay thousands of workers to do nothing as their market share withers, the union is likely to hear a similar message from the Big Three when their contracts with the UAW expire in 2007 — if not sooner.
“It’s an albatross around their necks,” said Steven Szakaly, an economist with the Center for Automotive Research in Ann Arbor. “It’s a huge number of workers doing nothing. That has a very large effect on their future earnings outlook.” …
Bailing out Detroit simply guarantees that the unions that have destroyed Motown will continue their cannibalism…but will drag down the rest of the country with them.

Frank: You’re mad at me not for tanking the economy, but for being a pole-smoker
McCain criticizes Frank for his contribution to the financial mess, and Frank whips out (OK, bad choice of words!)…yep…the “gay card”!
Frank yesterday dismissed McCain’s words as “an appeal to prejudice” that he said reminded him of past Republican efforts to raise voter concerns about the prospect of congressmen Charles Rangel and John Conyers, who are black, becoming committee chairs.
“I’m flattered by this,” said Frank, who is gay. “But I don’t think I’m the single most important member of the House after Nancy Pelosi. There are also a lot of straight white men who are committee chairmen.”
McCain’s chief speechwriter, Mark Salter, shook his head when asked to respond. “We’re bringing him up for his quotes,” said Salter. “We’re prejudiced against wasteful spenders and tax hikers.”
Is it possible that we’re a little torqued that Barney Frank was bouncing Fannie Mae orbs off his chin while going to bat for Fannie/Freddie during his day job? Maybe we’re a bit bent that he and his ilk have destroyed our economy, especially the mortgage sector? Perhaps we detest his socialist “let’s tax the rich more and gut the Defense Dept. budget” words of wisdom?
Nah. We’re OK with all that trivial stuff. No, our hang-up is that he likes man-meat up his squeakhole. Darn it, he’s got us figured out! 😆

Barney Frank: Hey, let’s increase taxes on the rich to pay for my screw-up of the economy!
When Barney Frank isn’t taking a man-missile up his squeakhole from his Fannie Mae boyfriend in violation of Romans 1:27, he likes to spend his time taxing the producers of this country through the noses to fund the massive cleanup of his mess! Transcript from CNBC:
I think at this point, there needs to be an immediate increase in spending, and I think this is a time when deficit fear has to take a second, uh, a second seat. I do think this is the time for a very important kind of dose of [unintelligible]. Yes, I think later on, there should be tax increases. Speaking personally, I think there are a lot of rich people out there who we can tax at a point down the road to recover some of this money.
Dude’s got a lot of nerve. Fannie Boy told us for the last decade that there were no solvency issues with Fannie/Freddie, and he derided any attempts to preempt the problems we see today as racist attempts to limit homeownership (uh-huh-huh…I said “homo-nership!” 😆 ) among minorities. Now that his obstruction has decimated our economy, he wants the successful to bankroll the housecleaning bill?

Author of Fannie/Freddie mess ridicules McCain’s attempt to clean up said mess
Barney “Prostitution Ring” Frank, chief author of the Fannie/Freddie collapse, thought it would be a hoot to snark on Ol’ Man Mac.
House Financial Services Chairman Barney Frank (D-Mass.), a chief author of the economic rescue package, doesn’t think much of John McCain’s late entry into the negotiations.
“McCain is Andy Kaufman in his Mighty Mouse costume – ‘Here I Come to Save the Day,'” Frank said as he left a Thursday morning caucus meeting with House Democrats, saying the Republican presidential candidate’s decision to enter the mix “is not helpful.”
“He hasn’t been involved,” Frank said. “He doesn’t know anything about it.”
Mushmouth certainly knows something about it: it’s largely Frank’s fault that Fannie/Freddie are in the shape that they are in today! That buttmuch’s comments would be akin to me breaking the cookie jar, then teasing you for sweeping it up.
Stick to show tunes, Barney. Economic reality isn’t your forté.

About Me
I am a small-government social and fiscal conservative who values life, liberty, and property…AND ACCOUNTABILITY!
Modern liberalism is an evil, vile scourge on society that must be rendered impotent. This ideology has proven to be a demonstrable failure and incredibly harmful when administered on the body politic. That is why Normal America rejects it, and why most liberal politicians deny their liberal bent: they know that Normal America wants no part of it. The election of 2010 was irrefutable proof of that.
All viewpoints are welcome on my blog. However, if I ban you or edit/delete your comments, it’s because I found you to be offensive, repulsive, off-topic, or otherwise useless. My world, my rules. Deal with it, or beat it. You’re free to start your own blog with your own rules. WordPress charges nothing, and free seems to be a price that liberals can appreciate.
Finally, I had a happy childhood, so my worldview has NOT been “warped” by a lousy upbringing. Quite the contrary: I have been blessed, and my outlook has been molded accordingly. I won’t apologize for having grown up in a loving, middle-class family.
