Liberalism: Why think when you can “feel”?

Gov. Scott Walker wins union-backed Wisconsin recall election

Walker wins 53%-46%, more than his 2010 victory over the same #sshat.  The spin from the left and the MSM (pardon the redundancy) is predictable: Don’t read anything into it, it doesn’t mean anything, all the people voting against Walker proves that his divisive style of politics doesn’t work (as opposed to all the people who voted for him proving that his style of politics does work), etc.

This poor, melodramatic sap thinks a state election’s outcome means the death of America, or something.  Savor the rich, delicious moonbat sorrow, my friends:

Chris Matthews apparently getting tired of defending his leg

Video clip at the link, and you should watch it if, for no other reason, to get a real appreciation of what a jackass he really is.  This poor, mild-mannered CSPAN anchor didn’t deserve the crap he got from Tingles here.

Anywho…

Yes. Chris Matthews is sick of people making fun of him for declaring on national television that he got a “thrill up his leg” after listening to President Obama.

Fishbowl DC notes that Matthews unleashed on CSPAN’s Steve Scully, after asking about the “thrill up his leg” comment during a media panel at a convention in Boston.

“Is the thrill still there?” asked Scully.

Matthews wasn’t thrilled with the question.

“I hope that you feel satisfied that you’ve used the most obvious question that is raised by every horse’s ass right-winger I ever bump into,” Matthews responded, after defending the comment.

Matthews said that he made the comment because he has “traditional values” and loves his country. “I do have physical reactions when people are talking about my country,” he added, noting that a news anchor like Tom Brokaw wouldn’t have said it. …

Ah, I see.  The tingle was just he loves his country so much, you wingnuts.  He’s just a true patriot, or something.

Oh, and if you refer to him as Tingles (or to the leg “thrill” as a tingle), then you’re gay.  Neener neener!

“Perhaps I shouldn’t have said so because I’ve given a lot of jackasses the chance to talk about it,” Matthews continued.

“And usually they say ‘tingle’ which says something about their orientation, but that’s alright,” he added. Later he interjected, “Not that there’s anything wrong with that, of course. I have to throw that in.”

Remember when liberals used to pretend that being gay was OK?

I dunno.  Maybe Tingles is still bent on his less than flattering display of mental acumen on Jeopardy!, and that’s why he’s in such a foul mood.

Occupy LA vermin evicted, hazmat suits required in cleanup

But hey, where would you get this crazy idea that the Occupiers were a bunch of filthy, disgusting, unemployable miscreants?  Oh, I dunno.

Sanitation workers wearing hazmat suits and masks moved into City Hall park Wednesday to clean up tons of trash, debris and human waste after police evicted the 2-month-old Occupy LA tent camp and arrested almost 300 people in a mostly non-violent pre-dawn raid.

Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa said the cleanup and repair to the damaged lawn and park facilities would cost the city hundreds of thousands of dollars, possibly more than $1 million.

So how does the 99% live?  Apparently, like this:

By dawn, trash, flattened tents, strewn clothing, bedding and the stench of urine were the legacy of the Occupy LA.

“It’s so contaminated that it doesn’t even make sense to sort it out,” said Jose Garcia, sanitation superintendent of the city north central district.

An estimated 25 tons of trash and debris were to be carted away by mid-afternoon. Workers were finding bottles of urine throughout the camp.

Who knew I was a 1%-er, huh?

Obama kisses up to Occupy hecklers

Details:

President Obama hugs an increasingly unpopular, vulgar, and lawless movement. The Hill reports that after President Obama was heckled by protesters at an event in New Hampshire, he said:

“I appreciate you guys making your point; let me go ahead and make mine,” Obama said before continuing his speech. “I’ll listen to you, you listen to me, OK?”

A few minutes later, Obama acknowledged the Occupy protest movement again, saying: “You are the reason I ran for office.”

I guess he ran for public office to guarantee that lice- and flea-infested unemployable socialist miscreants who rape, defecate in public, threaten to firebomb Macy’s, and push old ladies down stairs need a proper advocate.  He cheerfully lets them know that he’s their guy.

OWS now terrorizing children

You scumbags MUST be proud!  Real tough, #sshats.  Excerpt:

In the middle of thousands of protestors yelling and chanting — some kicking and screaming – CBS 2’s Emily Smith found little school kids trying to get to class. Nervous parents led them through the barriers on Wall Street. The NYPD helped funnel the children, anything to ease their fears while some protestors chanted “follow those kids!”

“These guys are terrorists, yelling at little kids,” one father said.

“For them it’s horrible. They’re afraid of all the crowds. We’re not even able to get through. They’re just, he’s … very afraid now,” a mother added.

Bloomberg, you are about as useful as boobs on a boar, pal.

But hey: They are the 99%, right?  Because 99% of this country terrorizes children on their way to school, I guess.

Occupy San Fran parasites

Multiple varieties of parasites: lice, fleas, and Occupiers themselves.  Details:

Poor sanitation and evidence of lice and fleas at the Occupy San Francisco encampment endanger the health of everyone in the overcrowded, makeshift tent city at Justin Herman Plaza, public health officials said Wednesday.

“Everybody that’s been down there knows it has to change,” said Dr. Tomas Aragon, a public health officer who has been conducting inspections twice a day at the Occupy SF protest. …

Yeah, really.  Why can’t San Fran clean up these losers and go back to the pristine sanitary condition it was before?  Pfffff-bwahahahahahaha! 😆

Maxine Waters about criminal element at Occupy sites: “That’s life, and it happens!”

I guess that ethics investigation into The Socialist Queen isn’t going anywhere?  Must not be, for her to continue parroting stupidity like this with impunity:

When asked to comment Wednesday about the deaths and crimes that have occurred around Occupy protests being held across the country, Rep. Maxine Waters said “that’s life and it happens.”

“That’s a distraction from the goals of the protesters,” Waters, who says she supports the Occupy movement, told CNSNews.com after an event at the Capitol sponsored by the Congressional Progressive Caucus.

Video and full comment at the link, so don’t take my word for it.

Yeah, Maxy.  Let’s take a look at just a couple of things that “happen” at Occupy sites:

The Associated Press reported that there have been at least three deaths recently at or near Occupy encampments. A man was shot and killed near the scene of the Occupy camp in Oakland, Calif. A man reportedly shot himself at the Occupy camp in Burlington, Vt. And a man was discovered dead in a tent at the Salt Lake City, Utah, Occupy camp.

At the Occupy L.A. site—in the city where Rep. Waters’ congressional district is located—five people have been charged with crimes, according to the Los Angeles Times. These include a man who allegedly exposed himself and masturbated in the presence of children.

Hmmm.  So exposing yourself to kids and playing “tug-of-war with the cyclops” is all part and parcel of the Occupy movement?  OK, got it.  Thanks for the clarification, Max.

This is the same woman who said “As far as I’m concerned, the ‘Tea Party’ can go straight to hell.”  I’d say that since there haven’t been ANY arrests at Tea Party events, and since no Tea Partiers of which I’ve heard have killed anyone or dropped trow in front of children, I’d say that the Occupiers are a better representative of Hell than anyone on the right.

Court to Occupy Wall Street miscreants: You can’t camp in Zucotti Park anymore!

Score a victory for public health and private property!  Details:

Finally. Common sense and decency — not to mention ordinary rules of sanitation — reign downtown.

For two months, the lunatics had taken over the asylum, as if the right to use a park as a public outhouse was in the Constitution.

But yesterday, in a display of courage I didn’t think he possessed, the mayor got it.

He ordered the cleansing of festering Zuccotti Park.

Sexual assault, rape, thievery and the scamming of gullible people into donating their hard-earned cash for nefarious purposes — including the possible purchase of drugs — had become not the exception but the norm at the Occupy Wall Street enclave. For weeks.

Yesterday evening, Supreme Court Judge Michael Stallman proved he got it, too. He upheld the ban on tents, bedrolls and all manner of paraphernalia there.

It will no longer be easy for the Occupiers to occupy. Not if they don’t want to catch pneumonia or tuberculosis, which has broken out at Occupy Atlanta. …

More:

A judge ruled Tuesday that the protesters could return to Zuccotti but could not set up camp with equipment that the city said created numerous hazards. Police raided the site early Tuesday morning and confiscated much of their camping gear.

Protesters were allowed back into Zuccotti Park Tuesday evening but were banned from bringing tents, tarps, generators and camping equipment after a judge sided with the city following a surprise overnight raid of the Occupy Wall Street headquarters.

“Individuals who attempt to enter the park carrying these items may be refused entry,” an NYPD chief bellowed through a bullhorn as several hundred demonstrators filed back into the plaza after a tumultuous day.

The key component of the ruling (PDF):

The parties dispute whether the First Amendment applies to the actions of the owner in enacting the rules. For purposes of this application, the Court assumes that the First Amendment applies to the owner of Zuccotti Park, thus obviating petitioners’ request for a hearing as to whether Zuccotti Park is traditional public forum, or a limited public forum. Assuming arguendo, that the owner’s maintenance of the space must not violate the First Amendment, the owner has the right to adopt reasonable rules that permit iUo maintain a clean, safe, publicly accessible space consonant with the responsibility it assumed to provide public access according to law.

The Court is mindful of movants’ First Amendment rights of freedom of speech and peaceable assembly. However, “[e]ven protected speech is not equally permissible in all places and at all times.” (Snyder v Phelps, 131 S Ct 1207, 1218 [2011], quoting Cornelius v NAACP Legal Defense
& Ed. Fund, Inc., 473 US 788, 799 [1985].) Here, movants have not demonstrated that the rules adopted by the owners of the property, concededly after the demonstrations began, are not reasonable time, place, and manner restrictions permitted under the First Amendment.

To the extent that City law prohibits the erection of structures, the use of gas or other combustible materials, and the accumulation of garbage and human waste in public places, enforcement of the law and the owner’s rules appears reasonable to permit the owner to maintain its space in a hygienic, safe, and lawful condition, and to prevent it from being liable by the City or others for violations of law, or in tort It also permits public access by those who live and work in the area who are the intended beneficiaries of this zoning bonus.

Contrary to what these smelly, disease-ridden, filthy, unemployable savages stated, you do NOT have a constitutional right to set up camp on private property and use it as a community commode.  Kudos to the judge for getting this right.

Democrat mayor in California to veterans: Screw you, the Occupiers are more important!

But hey, where would you get the crazy idea that the left doesn’t support the troops?  From Californiastan:

The mayor of Richmond, Calif., is under fire for her decision to skip a Veterans Day memorial to attend an Occupy Rally.

Mayor Gayle McLaughlin sent an email to the San Jose Mercury News explaining why she would not be attending a Veterans Day salute that included a re-enactment of the launch of a World War II-era ship at the Richmond shipyards.

“I choose to honor our veterans, not only on Veteran’s Day, but daily, but supporting an end to military warfare to prevent further fighting and dying in needless wars,” she wrote. “I am a strong supporter of Veterans for Peace and Iraq Vets Against the War.”

The mayor said that since the city is not sponsoring the Veterans Day salute, she chose to attend an Occupy rally – an event that she has been actively promoting.

The left is reflexively anti-military.  It’s in their DNA.

Occupy vermin throw bodily fluids, level death threats at vendors who aren’t providing free stuff anymore

Remember, folks: this is the 99%.  Details from San Diego:

A pair of Southland street cart vendors who were forced to shut down their businesses after “Occupy” protesters vandalized their carts are hoping to get some help from local residents.

KNX 1070′s Tom Reopelle reports a fundraiser in the Gas Lamp district in San Diego on Monday night is aimed at helping two vendors get back on their feet.

Coffee cart owner Linda Jenson and hot dog cart operators Letty and Pete Soto said they initially provided free food and drink to demonstrators, but when they stopped, the protesters became violent.

And according to one city councilman, bodily fluids were used in the attacks.

“Both carts have had items stolen, have had their covers vandalized with markings and graffiti, as well as one of the carts had urine and blood splattered on it,” said Councilman Carl DeMaio.

The damages will likely require at least a complete cleaning if not a replacement of the cart covers, DeMaio said.

In addition to the attacks, the vendors also said they recently received death threats.

At least these cretins didn’t push an old lady down a flight of stairs like they did in DC.

But hey, where would you get the crazy idea that the Occupiers are a bunch of dirty, smelly, violent hippies who are just looking for handouts?

Exit question: Remember when the Tea Partiers threw blood and urine at people, and leveled death threats, and pushed old ladies down flights of stairs, and defecated on police cars and people’s doorsteps, and had sex in the streets, and needed to be fumigated for lice?  Remember all that?  Me neither.

Questions posed to the Occupy Wall Street parasites

Ace lays it down on ’em:

When you buy a loaf of bread, you are giving up some of your time, in the convenient unit of exchange called money, by which you were paid for your time, for someone else’s time.

This is why virtually everybody works. (Except for that blessed, tiny cadre of people who literally love their jobs and do their jobs almost entirely because they so enjoy it.)

So, these guys work for themselves. When they are compensated for the time they spend at work, they put that money into their pockets, and spend it on themselves (or their families).

And yet the self-deluded, entitled OWS crowd are absolutely insistent on the idea that other peopleshould spend large amounts of time working for the benefit of the OWS parasites.

Imagine walking up to any of these people on the street and ordering them: Come back to my house and clean my gutters, for free, because I want you to dedicate your time towards making my life easier.

Can you imagine the shock? The outrage? …

So does Peter Schiff:

Irony of the day: OWS kitchen staffers angry about serving food to freeloaders

Irony: you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup. Savor the aroma of the details:

The Occupy Wall Street volunteer kitchen staff launched a “counter” revolution yesterday — because they’re angry about working 18-hour days to provide food for “professional homeless” people and ex-cons masquerading as protesters. (How funny is it that the homeless are indistinguishable from your average OWS protestor? 😆 – CL)

Some protesters threatened that the high-end meals could be cut off completely if the vagrants and criminals don’t disperse.

Unhappiness with their unwelcome guests was apparent throughout the day.

“We need to limit the amount of food we’re putting out” to curb the influx of derelicts, said Rafael Moreno, a kitchen volunteer.

Scarcity of resources?  Rationing?  Welcome to socialism removed from the pages of academia and put into practice, boys and girls!  Sucks, doesn’t it?

See, while OWS is a bunch of freeloaders looking to mooch off of the taxpayers for the rest of their lives, they don’t like the homeless and vagrants and other moochers.  See, if you want to get fed, you have to be their kind of moocher!  😆

Exit question: Since the homeless are being excluded from the so-called 99%, does that put the homeless in the same category as the 1% the OWS crowd deplores?

Occupy Wall Street miscreants crapping on doorsteps of residents

Not just cop cars, mind you, as if that weren’t bad enough.  No, now these vermin are defecating everywhere other than toilets.  From JWF:

Infuriated lower Manhattan residents went ballistic on Zuccotti Park protesters at a chaotic Community Board 1 meeting tonight while blasting politicians for allowing the siege to continue without any end in sight.

“They are defecating on our doorsteps,” fumed Katherine Hughes, a stay at home mom who has the misfortune of living one block from the chaos. “A lot of people are very frustrated. A lot of people are concerned about the safety of our kids.”

Fed up homeowners said that they’ve been subjected to insults and harassment as they trek to their jobs each morning. “The protesters taunt people who are on their way to work,” said James Fernandez, 51, whose apartment overlooks the park.  (Because work is for suckers, right? – CL)

Occupy Wall Street miscreants stunned to find thieves in their midst

Let’s see: a bunch of losers who have been demanding handouts stolen by government from the producers and given to non-producers are all of a sudden big proponents of private property?  Fascinating.  So what has brought about this about face?  This:

Occupy Wall Street protesters said yesterday that packs of brazen crooks within their ranks have been robbing their fellow demonstrators blind, making off with pricey cameras, phones and laptops — and even a hefty bundle of donated cash and food.

Stealing is our biggest problem at the moment,” said Nan Terrie, 18, a kitchen and legal-team volunteer from Fort Lauderdale.

“I had my Mac stolen — that was like $5,500. Every night, something else is gone. Last night, our entire [kitchen] budget for the day was stolen, so the first thing I had to do was . . . get the message out to our supporters that we needed food!”

Crafty cat burglars sneaked into the makeshift kitchen at Zuccotti Park overnight and swiped as much as $2,500 in donated greenbacks from right under the noses of volunteers who’d fallen asleep after a long day whipping up meals for the hundreds of hungry protesters, the volunteers said.

Evil corporations make their gadgets, so think of the thieves as doing the non-bathing Marxists a favor by lifting their gadgets from them.

I’m guessing the irony of their outrage to theft while advocating government theft will be lost on them.

The face of Occupy Wall Street, “unwashed”…literally

A most awesome column by…wait for it…Obama’s cousin!  I’m thinking he’s not getting invited to the family reunion (whether in Chicago or Kenya) any time soon.  Excerpt:

Liberalism is dying before our eyes, not with a whimper or a bang, but with a grand unbathed and so apropos whine-fest. The central tenets of statism are in free-fall, and its beneficiaries, namely those who live off the fruits of other people’s labor, are in a panic for one last round of government handouts before they completely bankrupt the nation.

Enter the disillusioned “Occupy Wall Street” protesters. Suddenly the 1970s “Me Generation” seems altruistic, and the ‘60s hippies seem hygienic. What a perfect name for their movement: “Occupy” – to take up space. If there’s one thing these overcredentialed but undereducated people excel at, it’s taking up space. They occupy university campuses for years without learning skills that can actually contribute to our society’s economy. They demand to occupy a child’s place on their parents’ health insurance plan and then can’t understand why everyone’s premiums have risen further out of reach. They occupy a place in their mothers’ basements and can’t believe their fathers have become little Eichmanns in a capitalist world. Heck, at this point, I’d be happy if they’d just occupy a shower once in a while.

Heh. 😆

I wanted more excerpts, since it is an excellent and juicy column.  But you must read the column, the whole thing…or else you officially suck.  And you don’t want to suck, do you?

Occupy Wall Street poster boy is a trust fund baby and Colmbia grad with a criminal record

Because 99% of the country attempts to stow away on a flight from JFK, right?

Breitbart has the video and the details, but how awesome is it that the poster boy for Occupy Wall Street is living off of a trust fund, managed by Wall Street brokers, set up by his grandfather…all while protesting how bad Wall Street is?  😆

What 99% of the country apparently does, per the Occupy Wall Street miscreants

So the OWS folks are the 99%, huh?  That’s odd, because I don’t know anyone, much less everyone, who does the following:

And now, MSDNC hosts are thinking that the best way for the OWS movement to succeed in their goals is…to get gunned down by the cops or the national guard, Kent State style.  And to think that MSDNC has a ratings problem!

But hey, where would you get the crazy idea that this movement was anything but a bunch of average Joes and Janes with legitimate grievances?

Thoughts on “Occupy Wall Street”

1.  Remember when Speaker Botox said that the Tea Party movement wasn’t spontaneous or grassroots?  She’s now saying, of course, that the moonbat-o-thon on Wall Street and elsewhere is definitely spontaneous.  If, by “spontaneous”, she means “bought and paid for by unions“, then yeah…”spontaneous”.

2.  Anyone else find the humor in the irony?  A bunch of losers who are spending their time with “occupation” instead of spending their time either at an occupation or looking for an occupation?  😆

3.  The common phrase among these unemployable miscreants is “We are the 99%!”  Really?  99% of the nation doesn’t bathe, doesn’t want a job, and wants the government to take care of them for the rest of their lives because they’re too stupid and lazy to take care of themselves?  I’m dubious, to say the least.

4.  You want to see a dressing-down of one of these loons (albeit a well-dressed, though thoroughly dishonest, loon), on national TV?  Answer: Of COURSE you do!  Then enjoy!

5.  Just a bunch of average Joes and Janes, right?  Yeah, right:

Just your typical 99 percenter, right?

Politico theorizes that Obama’s woes with his own party are because…you’ve GOT to be kidding me…he’s not leftist ENOUGH?

Dude, if this is the pony they’re gonna bet Aunt Edna’s money on, I am soooo cool with that!  😆  Excerpt:

It’s open season on President Barack Obama — and that’s just from members of his own party.

With frustration and disappointment mounting from stinging defeats in Tuesday’s two special elections and over Obama’s jobs plan, the media is filled on Thursday with Democrats on the record publicly questioning and doubting the president and some of his policies, and a few even unleashing biting criticism.

Rep. Eliot Engel, a Bronx Democrat, offered his harsh take on the party’s loss in the New York special, focusing his attack on the president’s stance on Israel.

“What I get in my district is that people want the president to stand up for what he believes,” Engel told the Washington Post. “They want him to stand up to the Republicans; not cave in; stop giving up the store…And then I also get in my district a lot of Jewish people dissatisfied with Obama’s policies; what they’ve perceived to be his lack of support for Israel.”

“Maybe this will send a message,” he added.

Note that Engel says Hussein’s “perceived lack of support for Israel”?  What is Engel saying, that Jews are too stupid to know what real lack of support for Israel is?  Classic liberal: You’re too stupid to know any better, but luckily for you, you’ve got me to do your thinking for you.

Here’s a hoot:

Democratic Sen. Bob Casey of Pennsylvania said he was concerned about the plan being offered as a single bill, telling the Times: “I think the American people are very skeptical of big pieces of legislation. For that reason alone I think we should break it up.”

Casey is a freshman Senator, up for re-election in PA next year, and Obama is upside-down in the state big time (those bitter clingers!) and may take Casey down with him.  But Casey has the onions to criticize “big pieces of legislation” that need to be broken up, when the hypocrite voted for ObamaCare?
Point to ponder #1: Since we’ve been told for 3+ years that criticism of B.O. is based largely on racism, and since liberals are now criticizing Dear Leader, can we not logically deduce that liberals are racist?  😆
Point to ponder #2: How soon until these and other critical Democrats wind up on Attack Watch?

Crush Liberalism gets nominated for “Malkin Award”

Boy, the barrage of vile comments that I have received over the last couple of days has been stunning.

It seems that the moonbatosphere is atwitter with my 9/11 post and none other than the Excitable Queen himself, Andrew “Trig isn’t Sarah Palin’s kid because everyone knows that it’s teenage girls and NOT 40+ year old women who give birth to Downs Syndrome kids” Sullivan, pushed some traffic my way.  His braindead cowardly minions have provided me with some pure comedy gold, though.  If only their comments weren’t laced with bilous invective, some of them might have seen the light of day here.  Oh, well, I’ll settle for these morons proving my point that liberalism is all about feeling, not thinking.

Anywho, Power Glutes himself has nominated me for one of his “Malkin Awards”, which is defined on Wikipedia’s Sully page thusly:

The Michelle Malkin Award is named after blogger Michelle Malkin. It is for shrill, hyperbolic, divisive and intemperate right-wing rhetoric.

The guy who is repelled by Palin’s icky girlparts but nonetheless endures uterus spelunking to determine if her Downs Syndrom child is really hers has the temerity to talk about “shrill, hyperbolic” rhetoric.  Yeah, targeting a special needs baby is real macho, but lamenting the state of the country since 9/11 is way out of bounds.

At any rate, I wear with honor Sully’s nomination for an award named after a fine, intelligent conservative woman that drives the left even nuttier than they already are.  To be mentioned in the same blogging breath as Mrs. Malkin…why, I’m not worthy, I tell ya!  😆

Moonbats: the other white meat.

Reflections on 9/11, a decade later

For those of you on the left, feel free to Google “9/11/2001” if the date doesn’t ring a bell for you.

All of us who weren’t in a drug-induced stupor recall exactly what we were doing when the attacks came and when we first got word of it.  I’ll spare you the play-by-play of what I was doing, other than to say that the first plane hitting the WTC made me think it was an aviation accident.  Obviously, the second plane hitting the other tower minutes later cleared up that misconception.

In the days immediately following, I had never seen patriotism and unity like that in my life, and I haven’t seen it since.  I doubt I ever will again, either.  I recall getting chills watching then-House Minority Leader Dick Gephardt (a man I did not hold in high esteem) give an impassioned “This is war!” speech that drew a standing ovation from the entire chamber.  I remember legislators falling over themselves to shake our Commander in Chief’s hand during Bush’s joint Congressional appearance a few days later.

Then, three years later…the country was one state away (Ohio) from sending to the Oval Office a liberal Masshole with a shameful record of crapping on the American soldiers and palling around with Hanoi Jane.  His “service” to this country was a resume-padding means-to-an-end for that schmuck.  Yet here we were as a country, pretty much back to the attitude we had before 9/11/2001, hung up on matters that should have paled in comparison to the big matter of “Who will keep us safer?”  Luckily, the blueblood with a lackluster record of achievement was found to be the weaker link.  But were our attention spans really that short?

Then the unthinkable happened: Seven years after that fateful day in 2001, the country elected an unaccomplished leftist ideologue who had never run so much as a lemonade stand, but had plans on bringing the American economy to its knees worse than it already was.  Why did Americans do such a foolish thing?  Because the brother was adept at reading a teleprompter.  Because he could orate in glittering generalities and vague, non-specific niceties.  Because it was the “in” thing to do, so we could tell our friends and neighbors “See?  I’m not racist!  I voted for the black guy!”  Because he would give us more government goodies than the old dude who, unlike Kerry, actually did serve his country with honor and dignity and withstood years of torture and imprisonment rather than crap on his fellow soldiers.  With the willing accomplices in the kamikaze media, it was a fait accompli.

Sure, there are some signs that the country is waking up to its mistake of 2008.  But the damage has been done, possibly irreparably so, and I submit to you that the damage done by four years of liberal legislative assault and 2.5 years of socialist executive rule far exceeds the carnage that was experienced ten years ago.  As I watched the History Channel this week, all those memories came rushing back to me, along with the realization that our country doesn’t learn its lessons well anymore.

I pray for the family members and friends of those whose lives were lost ten years ago today.  Their pain is a kind that I hope I never experience, ever. I also pray for my country: may it return to the roots that made us great and the envy of the world.

UPDATE:  Welcome, moonbats!  I see I got a plug from Her Highness, Queen Andrew the Power Glutes, and Excitable Andy’s pals at the Village Idiot’s Voice.  What, were the welfare lines closed today?  Anywho, the honor’s all…well, yours.

Moonbat Congresswoman discovers America’s “real enemy”: Tea Party

I tend to dismiss race-hustling poverty prostitutes like Fredrica Wilson (D-FL gerrymandered district).  But this one’s a hoot:

“Let us all remember who the real enemy is. The real enemy is the Tea Party — the Tea Party holds the Congress hostage. They have one goal in mind, and that’s to make President Obama a one-term president,” Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-FL) said at a Miami town hall with constituents.

Yep, when she’s not busy blaming the current level of black unemployment on racism, she likes to pass her time uncovering America’s “real enemy”.  The enemy is not a socialist, anti-American president who has done his level best to destroy our economy and crush the employment prospects of the very people for whom she purports to stand.  The enemy is not bloodthirsty camel-humping jihadists trying to attack us again like they did a decade ago (sidebar: for those of you on the left, feel free to Google “9-11-2001” if that doesn’t ring a bell).

No, indeed.  The “real enemy” is a group of American citizens who believe that the federal government ought to live within its means just like every American family (nay, every family on God’s green Earth) must do.  The “real enemy” is a group of American citizens who have the gall to be loyal to the same Constitution that Congresscreeps like Wilson have sworn to uphold and defend.  The “real enemy” is a group of American citizens who actually don’t want their kids and grandkids to inherit a nation that is substantially weaker and bleaker than the one we’ve grown to know and love since its inception.  These cretins, of course, are the “real enemy”.

Remember when Chairman Zero said to Latinos that they need to “punish our enemies”?  That may be one point on which he and I agree.  Vermin like ObaMao and his minions like Wilson must be punished at the ballot box by Normal America, and relegated to the dustbin of history when it comes to their policies.  They have inflicted enough damage to the country I love, and they must be stopped before they achieve their goal: permanent American irrelevance.

Does anyone have the heart to tell her that The Village People are not holding auditions?  Or maybe she’s attending a memorial to the late Macho Man Randy Savage of which I’m not aware?

College student asks his fellow students: Say, how’s about redistributing your 4.0 GPA?

Ah, college!  In between bong hits and raging keggers, America’s youths have their feeble minds molded by leftist professors who preach the evils of capitalism and merit-based earning.  Lost on these stoners is the irony that their own grades are earned, for good or for ill.

Well, leave it to one student bright enough to recognize the hypocrisy of these ivory-tower cocooned know-nothings.  From FNC (with video clip):

A California college student is conducting a social experiment where he’s trying to get his peers to sign a petition in favor of distributing grade point averages to show how the federal government distributes wealth.

Oliver Darcy, a recent college graduate, proposes that students with good grades contribute their GPA to their academically sluggish friends. He argues that this is how the federal government takes wealth from the country’s high wage earners and distributes it to the low income earners.

“They all earn their GPA,” said Darcy in an interview with “Fox and Friends.” “So we asked them if they’d be interested in redistributing the GPA points that they earned to students who may be having trouble getting a high GPA.”

Darcy, who films his encounters with teachers and fellow students, doesn’t have much luck selling this theory.

He said many students on college campuses support high taxes on the rich, but when put into relative terms, cringed at the thought of spreading around their academic wealth.

In a video posted on Exposingleftists.com, one student said, “If I do give GPA points to students that don’t deserve it, it isn’t fair, I work for what I have.

Watch the video.  It’s funny (yet sad) to see these naive rose-colored-glasses-wearing moonbats protest that “That’s different!”, yet when pressed as to how it’s different to spread around the earned monetary wealth vs. earned academic wealth, their response is basically “Because shut up, that’s how!”

Wait until they get into the real world.  Reality will hit them harder than a Barney Frank chair fart.

MN moonbat governor: The American Revolution was fought so we can tax the rich, or something

Congrats, Minnesota.  You’ve known for a decade that this guy was a few fries short of a Happy Meal, yet you made him your governor.  Geez, between him and Franken, you guys are bound and determined to supplant Californiastan as the nation’s nuttiest state, no?

Anywho, here’s what Gov. Mark Dayton(D-MN) observed on July 4th, in response to his state shutting down because he wants to spend tons more money than the state has:

It is significant that this shutdown will begin on the 4th of July weekend.  On that date, we celebrate our independence.  It also reminds us that there are causes and principles worth struggling for – worth even suffering temporary hardships to achieve.

Our American Revolution was very much about fair and just taxes, where the middle-class was over-taxed while the very rich went tax-free.  In the absence of fair taxes, the basic services people relied upon for their health and well-being were denied them.  (um, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? – CL)

Notes Ed:

Er … riiiiiiiight.  The American Revolution, led by wealthy landowners and businessmen like John Hancock, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and the rest of the moneyed class revolted against the Crown for forced redistribution of wealth via government.  Damn the History Channel for not covering this aspect of the Revolution!

By the way, I’d love to hear an explanation from Dayton as to the “basic services” that were denied colonists by the British based on uncollected taxes from the rich.  As far as I know, the colonies didn’t have Medicare or Social Security either before or after the Revolution.  The only services supplied by the British were the troops that defended the colonies, which is one of the reasons the British began taxing them.

Washington: “Please, King George!  Take our money so the poor colonists can get free health care, or something.  If you don’t, we WILL revolt!  We have a RIGHT to…um…be subjected to confiscatory taxation.  Which is why we got so mad at the confiscatory taxation…that…we’re now…advocating.  Or something.”

San Fran tackles pressing issue of the day: banning goldfish

San Fransicko.  Nuff said:

First kittens, then puppies and hamsters and now goldfish?

San Francisco’s Animal Control and Welfare Commission is recommending that the City ban the sale of goldfish, tropical fish and guppies in its borders, according to Matier and Ross.

The recommendation to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors is part of the commission’s ongoing efforts to discourage “impulse buys” of animals. …

I’m guessing there won’t be any bans on gerbils anytime soon in San Franfreakshow.  Just sayin’…

Unfreakingbelievable! DNC Chair asks Netanyahu to tell Republican Jews not to make Israel an issue in 2012!

Ho. Ly. Shiite.  Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, the new moonbat-in-chief of the DNC, doesn’t have an ounce of friggin’ shame.

The set-up:

Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu yesterday met with representative delegates of the Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) and the National Jewish Democratic Council (NJDC).

OK, so Bibi is meeting with Republican Jews and Democrat Jews.  Seems reasonable, no?  But then this wench has the temerity to do this crap in front of Bibi:

But while the meeting was meant to shore up bipartisan support for Israel from American Jewish political organizations, it quickly became a partisan bickering match, with the chairman of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), Debbie Wasserman Schultz, using the platform to tell Republican Jews to stop doing what they’re doing.

The RJC used their opening remarks to say that now was a historical time for the future of the Middle East, and to thank Prime Minister Netanyahu for meeting with them. But while the NJDC’s chairman said essentially the same thing, he was followed by hyper-partisan comments, first from Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee chair Steve Israel and then from the DNC chair, Wasserman Schultz.

Sitting in front of Netanyahu, the DNC chair asked the RJC to “pledge to refrain in 2012 from using Israel as part of the issues in campaigns,” according to RJC executive director Matt Brooks. “It started that way. Right from the get go they just jumped on it.”

“They decided to hijack these meeting in order to, in front of the prime minister, put a gag order in effect to prevent us from speaking out on Israel,” Brooks says.

It is highly unusual for a sitting DNC chair to try to use a foreign prime minister to pressure another political group to act in a way that she deems appropriate. But this seems to have been what happened yesterday.

Asked about Netanyahu’s reaction, Brooks said Netanyahu was “clearly uncomfortable and at one point said, ‘do you guys want me to leave the room and give you guys some privacy?’

Are you freakin’ kidding me?  How embarrassing!  How disrespectful for a respected world leader!

Hey, DWS, I got a question for you, Toots.  How’s about you take the plank out of your party’s eye before you shove it up your matzo hole pluck the splinter from your neighbor’s eye?

Senate Democrats are expected to support a resolution intended as a rebuff to President Obama’s call for basing Middle East peace talks on the 1967 Israeli-Palestinian borders.

It would be a rare rebuke of the president by the upper chamber and a sign that Democrats are worried about the impact of last week’s speech on the U.S.-Israel relationship and pro-Israel constituents.

Democrats in both chambers are scrambling to fix the damage caused when Obama called for the 1967 borders and land swaps as a basis for peace.

Some Democrats have tried to downplay the rift, but Israel’s strongest supporters in Congress say there’s no denying that Obama made a tactical mistake in handling the relationship.

I guess those pesky Jews need to “know their place”, right?

CNN and Democrats (but I repeat myself) turn bin Laden death into political attack on Bush

Well, that didn’t take long, now did it?  From Radio Vice Online:

A magnificent mission of the four-door Navy SEALs, and it took plenty of guts on the part of this president to pull the trigger on this one. But it certainly didn’t take long for the left stream media to take a shot at President Bush. Make no mistake this is a great accomplishment for the young president. But let’s not forget the groundwork and intelligence was laid by the Bush administration. Still, CNN and Democratic Congressman Gary Ackerman couldn’t resist the moment. Video below the fold.

The first video is a clip from last night CNN coverage. Wolf Blitzer is interviewing former Bush administration official Fran Townsend. He gets everything off to a good start by rubbing Townsend’s nose in it. Nice job Wolf. Oh and about the 1 min. mark, notice a comment that bleeds into the on-air broadcast. I’ve listened to this about 10 times and it sure sounds like a CNN producer, who apparently doesn’t know his Mike is feeding into the production, seems to drop a nice expletive deleted on Ms. Townsend.  You tell me. Either way, nice job CNN.

Video at the link.

You know, this is supposed to be great news for America…right?  But I guess it’s to be expected.  I mean, if Democrats don’t know how to act in mourning (see Paul Wellstone and Coretta Scott King funerals), then it shouldn’t come as a surprise that they don’t know how to act in celebration, either.  Interesting, though, that the left is all about giving more props to Obama (who merely said “Yeah, go ahead” and didn’t vote “Present” for once) than the intel community and Navy SEALs who pulled this off.

NY Dem: Republicans want to “kill women”, or something

Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-NY), she of the “deem and pass” fame, said that Republicans came to DC to “kill women“.  This will no doubt come as a huge shock to all Republican female Congresswomen, who didn’t realize they were going to DC to commit suicide.

She also compared Republican efforts to curb infanticide with Nazis.  In Slaughterville, the Nazi-like barbarism isn’t the killing of babies, but depriving women of taxpayer funds at the federal level to subsidize the infanticide.

Moron.
