Liberalism: Why think when you can “feel”?

Ahmanutjob a Troofer

Congrats, tinfoil nutters. You’ve got a glowing endorsement. From AP:

NEW YORK – Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad questioned the official version of the Sept. 11 attacks and defended the right to cast doubt on the Holocaust in a tense appearance Monday at Columbia University, whose president accused the hard-line leader of behaving like “a petty and cruel dictator.”

He reiterated his desire to visit ground zero to express sympathy with the victims of the Sept. 11 attacks, but then appeared to question whether al-Qaida was responsible.

“Why did this happen? What caused it? What conditions led to it?” he said. “Who truly was involved? Who was really involved and put it all together?”

Ahmanutjob and Troofers, birds of a feather.

Kos kook writer: Ahmanutjob rocks, if you can just get past that maniac thing

From Hot Air:

He’s a revolutionary, he’s from a “minority” culture, and he loathes George Bush. What’s not to love? A communique from the new center of the Democratic Party:

I want to be very clear. There are certainly many things about Ahmadinejad that I abhor — locking up dissidents, executing of [sic] gay folks, denying the fact of the Holocaust, potentially adding another dangerous nuclear power to the world and, in general, stifling democracy. Even still, I can’t help but be turned on by his frank rhetoric calling out the horrors of the Bush Administration and, for that matter, generations of US foreign policy preceding.

Follow LGF’s link to the dKos post and read through the comments, where the main counterargument is that it’s okay to hate him because, in fact, he’s a lot like Bush. The silver lining in this week’s Mahdi Takes Manhattan feature is that it gives the filthy left plenty of opportunities to indulge the cretinous knee-jerk “enlightened” contrarian within by apologizing for this Holocaust-denying, terror-supporting douchebag. A few of the dumber ones have already piped up in support of his “good-faith gesture” at Ground Zero; we’ll see what other cockle-warming gestures he has planned tomorrow to get a swoon out of the, ahem, reality-based community. Keep it up, boys. There’s attack ads in them thar hills.

As usual, go ahead and feel free to question their patriotism (along with their sanity).

Satire alert: Iranian hostage situation part II

From spoofmaster Scrappleface:

Iran announced today that it would release immediately the 15 British soldiers and marines it took hostage last week to avoid further “cordial pressure and devastating pleasantries” from British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

“In this test of wills,” said Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, “we acknowledge the superior power of the adversary. We cannot withstand another onslaught of polite diplomatic language nor the withering, if unspoken, consternation we detect in the eyes of Tony Blair.”

A spokesman for Mr. Blair said, “Tyrants like Ahmadinejad, and the radical Mullahs who prop him up, understand only one thing: swift, targeted courtesy. And though we were reluctant to overreact to this little dust up, the Iranian leader now knows we mean business.”

The British Prime Minister’s spokesman added, “Our patience is virtually unlimited, but not infinitely unlimited. That’s why Iran blinked. They could see a day coming when the talking would stop, and we would reach into our arsenal of UN resolutions to consider more sanctions.”

Stop…or we shall be forced to say “Stop” again! 😀

Iran teetering on bankruptcy?

We should be so lucky. From the NY Sun:

Iran’s civil society is experiencing major breakdowns, the country’s reformist press and Web loggers are reporting. Signs of growing economic instability include high inflation, rising prices, food shortages, and long lines at gas stations. (With the exception of the latter, it sounds an awful lot like Hugo Chavez’ “worker’s paradise”, doesn’t it? – Ed.)

The January 20 edition of the Iranian reformist daily Rooz included an interview with an economist, Saeed Leilaz. ” Iran is on the verge of economic collapse,” he said. “A large portion of the economic turn for the worse is due to Ahmadinejad’s policies and management style … [which] have prompted many to publicly criticize [him]. … The administration has increased government expenditures so much that we will face an enormous budget deficit in the coming year.”

Mr. Leilaz also said Iran’s deep economic crisis could “ultimately lead to the disintegration of the government.”

Maybe we’ll get lucky and see Ahmanutjob tossed out on his tuchus before Israel has to bomb their nuke facilities.

  • Al Qaeda mocks new Bush strategy in Iraq. Ironically Coincidentally, so do Democrats. Go figure.
  • “Scientist” Group’s Funding Comes with Liberal “Strings Attached”. See, it’s bad if Big Oil contributes to studies that cast doubts on global “warming”, but perfectly acceptable if liberal groups beholden to anti-capitalist faux-green groups contribute to studies. Putting the “mental” in “environMENTALists”, aren’t they?
  • Deranged Iranian leader Ahmanutjob may be on thin ice in terms of holding onto power in Iran. Here’s guessing that regardless of how badly Iranians may dislike Israel or the U.S., they don’t want their country reduced to a parking lot in the Middle East. That would be the end result, too, if Ahmanutjob nukes one of those countries as he’s vowed to do.
  • CNN is falling all over itself to debunk a story that could be damaging to one of its idols. Media darling, empty suit, and presidential wannabe Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) has fought to refute a rumor that he attended a “radical Muslim school known as a ‘madrassa'” when he was a child. The rumor was dredged up by…associates of fellow Democrat (and fellow presidential wannabe) Hillary Clinton! She’s not gonna let this guy siphon her MSM love away and deprive her of her coronation!
